Feng shui expert bares positive projections for Cebu businesses

CEBU, Philippines - The year of the Golden Rabbit is the time to make more money and is a “breakthrough” year for some industry sectors, this is the projection made by well known Feng Shui expert Marites Allen.

Allen was in Cebu Tuesday to bare Feng Shui prospects for business to the Cebu business community, specifically those who strongly believe in Feng Shui.

According to Allen, the year 2011 is a very “competitive season” thus warning the business players to be careful and put extra effort in adopting strategies and active market presence.

The economic briefing hosted by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cebu Business Club (CBC) provided two different perspective in the economic projection of the country. Aside from Allen, local economist Perry Fajardo discussed the macro and micro economic path of the Philippines based on the growth trends and figure performances.

Allen said the year 2011 is an excellent year for real estate, hotel, resorts, and service related businesses, specifically the telecommunications.

She said telecommunications will introduce more “breakthrough” innovations this year.

While the Golden Rabbit brings four clashing pillars in Feng Shui, which is dominated by metal, it is not good for any agricultural related businesses, as well as publishing.

Aside from real estate, construction, jewelry trade is also seen to get a favorable environment this year, along with creative sector and mining.

She said the Philippines will continue to be attractive to the foreign investors for the rest of year, unless there is major threat in peace and order, calamity and other problems.

Stock market is also expected to be in good shape in 2011. However, she warned stock market investors to pull out their stocks before October this year.

Attracting money in the year for the Golden Rabbit should be aided by putting a water fountain in the north-west part of the house, or office.

On the other hand, while it is good to pursue business expansions, or start a business in the identified sectors, Allen warned businessmen to be mindful of their individual animal signs, as it has a big influence to succeed of fail in any venture.
