Ayala Land brings in the Alveo brand to Cebu

- Ehda Dagooc -

CEBU, Philippines – Alveo Land Corporation, a subsidiary of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), recently announced its entry in the Cebu market through a high-rise condominium project at the Cebu Business Park (CBP).

Once completed, the Alveo condominium tower will be the tallest among all buildings located at the 60-hectare business park. It will introduce an innovative and chic urban living in Cebu, which the Alveo brand is known for.

In an interview with Alveo Land Corporation assistant vice president for project development group Jennylle S. Tupaz, she said the Cebu market is already showing great interest in accepting the high-end urban living lifestyle, based on the upbeat sales momentum of its sister-brand Avida Towers. Avida Towers is currently building its second tower at the Asiatown IT Park in Lahug.

The Alveo brand has established projects in Manila including the Two Serendra, The Lerata, and the 1,700 integrated development project known as the Nouvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The Nouvali, which promotes eco-living, is a joint project with the Yulo family from Manila.

"The vision of Alveo Land stresses the importance of maintaining relevance with the market through various living innovations that answer their lifestyle needs. And this vision is what allows us to pave our way towards becoming a benchmark for the industry," said Dante M. Abando, president of Alveo Land Corporation.

Carrying the banner for its commitment to the environment, Alveo developments emphasize the importance of environment and sustainable lifestyle.

Next year, the brand will introduce at least 12 signature projects in Northern and Southern Luzon, and will mark its entry to the Visayas and Mindanao with the condominium tower projects, in partnership with the Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI).

Tupaz said the company will start with a few condominium units, however stopped short of revealing further details of its Cebu project saying that they have to test the waters first as to how the market responds to the introduction of an innovative lifestyle.

The construction of the condominium tower, which is yet to be named, is part of ALI's commitment to pour at least P2 billion capital expenditures (capex) for Cebu each year starting with the launching of the Avida Towers early this year.

Located at the city's key business center, the project is set to provide resident amenities that are designed to complement their existing lifestyle while maintaining the convenience and proximity of being at the heart of a progressive district.

"Everything that Alveo Land's condominium is set to offer is anchored on our thrust to provide lifestyle that ensures we are able to complement the lives that our market leads," Abando said.

"As Alveo Land makes its first footprint in Cebu, our commitment to creating change by innovating the way people live shines through," he added.

"Cebu's economy is vibrant, relative to what CHI is doing, and the retail sector is performing well. Also, Cebu is very attractive for BPO investors," said ALI president Antonino T. Aquino in an earlier interview.  (FREEMAN)
