CEBU, Philippines – Aside from its efforts to forge international trade linkages, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) recently kicked off its inter-Philippines trade mission activ-ity, through a trade mission to Vigan and Laoag City.
Twenty-four CCCI members led by President Samuel Chioson will be going to these two provinces in Luzon on August 28 to 31 to forge partnerships with businessmen in Vigan and Laoag.
"This year, aside from the trade missions abroad which are being organized, CCCI will explore neighboring cities of the country for possible linkages," said Cristina Lo, the chairperson of the Laoag and Vigan trade and business mission.
"This will be an opportune time for us to explore the tourism potentials & products of Ilocos Region, as well as to interact and present investment and trade opportunities," Lo added.
Organizing trade missions is one of the strategies of CCCI to make its members, and Cebu in general, more globally competitive, she said.
