BUSINESS AFTER BUSINESS - Romelinda Girlie Garces -

Trees Brew Life. This is how San Miguel Brewery Inc sees its commitment to plant trees all over the country through its Trees Brew Life program.

The nationwide tree planting campaign is aimed at promoting the need to take action on the preservation, protection and restoration of the environment.

Trees are seen to be hosts to an ecosystem of its own that breed various diverse flora and fauna under its shade, around its bark, and within its reach.

In recognition of the importance of a well balanced environment for a good business climate, San Miguel Brewery Inc. is launching their Trees Brew Life program through a nationwide tree planting event on August 7.

In Luzon, the areas where the tree planting will occur will be in Malolos, Taytay, Mt. Arayat, and Cabuyao, Laguna. For Mindanao, the tree planting will be held in Draong, Sta. Cruz along the Sibulan River while in the Visayas, there will be tree planting activities in Bacolod, Iloilo, Tacloban and Mandaue Cities.

The tree planting in Mandaue City will start at the Marcelo Fernan Bridge, and cover Cansaga Bridge, U.N. Avenue and Reclamation Area as well.

Participants to the tree planting will involve not only the employees of the breweries but also their host communities, the academe and the local government.

In Mandaue City, San Miguel Brewery Inc.’s Trees Brew Life Program is part of the celebration of the Mandaue Business Movement.
