Epson picks Cebu as pilot area for expansion

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu City, being the second major market next to Metro Manila, is the pilot area of Epson Philippines Corp.’s (EPSON) business expansion outside the capital this year.

“Cebu City is a significant metropolitan center in the country, and that makes us at Epson, excited to present to Cebuanos our noteworthy achievements that will surely make a difference in the way Cebuanos will utilize the best digital imaging products the world has to offer,” Eduardo Bonoan, Epson’s senior general manager said during the launch of the company’s Cebu sales office and solutions center yesterday.

He said that the launch of the office, Epson’s second solution center in the country, marked an important development in the company’s territorial expansion in the country.

The center forms part of Epson’s $70-million investment to accelerate regional market share in business products over the next three years.

Bonoan said that Epson hopes that the opening of its sales office and solutions center in Cebu will send “the strong message” that the company is serious in strengthening its presence in the Visayas.

“Epson believes that closer customer engagement entails being responsive to the different needs and requirements of every customer, city, province or region. The company’s approach in the past few years is to offer customized solutions to address the requirements of customers and businesses,” he said.

Epson has signed up with 31 dealers in the Visayas this year.

Epson country manager Hideto Nakamura said the solution center is a unique display venue where Epson products provide the end-user with business solutions through actual demonstrations.

“With this, we are able to showcase not only the comprehensive Epson product line-up in printers and visual instruments, but also provide solutions that will address your every day business needs in terms of printing and imaging,” he said.

The solutions center, located in the South Building Arcenas Estate, Labangon, will also be a venue for delivering regular technology updates to keep residents and businesses in the area informed of the new technology breakthroughs and offerings from Epson.
