Nexus starts construction of Kamalaya's 2nd phase

CEBU, Philippines - Nexus Properties, a relatively new player in Cebu’s property development industry has started developing phase 2 of its low to middle-end subdivision in Tunghaan Minglanilla, the Kamalaya Residences.

Company vice president Shanna Lopez said the expansion will add 90 more house and lot units which are priced at the same level with the 30 house and lot units of the subdivision’s first phase.

Prices of house and lot units at the three-hectare Kamalaya, which means lotus realm-an ancient symbol for the growth and unfolding of the human spirit, ranges from P1.5 million to P3 million.

Lopez said the one story house named Ananda—the Sanskrit name for unending joy, supreme bliss and happiness, is ideal for new families with its two bedrooms while expanding families will find Sandrya, the two-story house, responsive to their needs.

“All our units are concrete. We don’t use pre-fabricated materials. We are partners with Pag-ibig (Home Development Mutual Fund) and banks. We also have in-house financing,” she said.

Lopez told The Freeman that Nexus will continue to maximize its strength in developing residential properties in the northern and southern parts of the province.

“We (Nexus) have found this niche after we sold out in just a year all the (80 house and lot units) our first subdivision in Consolacion back in 2006,” Lopez said.

Nexus started in 2001 selling subdivided lots and building house and lots in several subdivisions in Cebu. It decided to venture into developing subdivisions in 2006 with the commitment of developing secure, accessible and environment-friendly premium housing communities from low-end to high-end.

Aside from Kamalaya Residences, Nexus’ portfolio includes The Villagio in San Fernando and Rainbow Village in Kinasang-an Pardo.

Kamalaya is five minutes away from the town market, church, municipal hall, Jollibee, Tungkop Beach and schools. It is also 10 minutes away from the South General Hospital and the South Road Properties.
