Coffee Break with Cebu Chamber

Imagine this, a cordial, interactive forum among Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) members with media and guests, to discuss business and related insights using the “Kapihan” format – isn’t it great! This is the concept of Coffee Break with CCCI. A joint project by the Membership and Development Division (MDD) and the External Affairs / Tourism Divisions of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).

This new program is the brainchild of Dr. Mila C. Espina, who incidentally ran the said program very successfully during her term as VP-MDD.

Coffee Break with CCCI will become a channel for CCCI members to get a certain degree of mileage and at the same time get to know each other even better. The said program/ forum seeks to strengthen the bonding and retention of CCCI members; gives time for them to interact with the media and guests. It also expects to extend long-term opportunities for many members to be actively involved in the CCCI projects, providing the directions for new leadership in the Chamber.

The program will tackle a non-confrontational discussion of the business interests/ activities/ ventures of the members. It could lightly integrate common concerns but would not deal with controversial political or business issues. The program will use the panel discussion or kapihan format. Each forum invites three or four CCCI members, selected number of media and a guest.

For its inaugural run, Coffeebreak with CCI will have as its initial guest the following CCCI members namely: (1) Siteworks Engineering Construction, Inc. – represented by Engr. Reeve Jumawan, President/ General Manager (2) Crew Asia, Inc., to be represented by Ms. Feliza Moran Jarque and (3)

Cebu Veterinary Doctors, represented by Dr. Odysseus Camarillo and (4) Cebu First Vita Plus, headed by Mr. Cecilio de Leon.

CCCI members will soon be enjoying their ‘Coffee Break with CCCI’, when its inaugural session is launched today, March 17, 2010, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, at the CCCI Board Room. It will be moderated by everyone’s favorite host, Dr. Mila Espina.   This two-hour semi-monthly “Coffee Break with CCCI” will take on the usual format of a free-wheeling, panel discussion, where a maximum of three CCCI members, along with their products and services, will be featured. A subsequent interaction with invited guests and media will be facilitated by a moderator. Logistical arrangements, such as venue, facilities, documentation and snacks, for the Kapihan sessions will be provided by the CCCI Secretariat. There will be regular press releases before and after each Kapihan.

The Coffee Break with CCCI is only one of many upcoming, exciting developments brewing at the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. You can’t dare miss it.
