FitFlops gaining ground in Cebu market

CEBU, Philippines - Despite being introduced in the Cebu market only recently, FitFlop Philippines is enjoying positive feedbacks from customers and is continually seeing more and more clients by the day.

In an interview with The Freeman, Fitflop brand manager Melody Nubla said that they are very happy with the Cebu market.

Nubla said that after a day’s delivery to their authorized dealers, which are Res|Toe|Run in Ayala, Bratpack and recently in R.O.X., after a few days, all their products are sold out. Exclusive distributor of Fitflop is Primer Group of Companies.

Nubla said that as more and more people are being health-conscious already, Fitflop is the perfect product for them since it is the only sandals with health benefits as it is designed to be a hybrid shoe that serves as a workout machine while walking.

She said that Fitflop boasts of its microwobble board technology that creates a shock absorption which makes the muscles work harder.

Through the multi-density mid-sole, the user saves up to 15 percent more energy to walk due to the cushioned heel area that absorbs 36 percent more shock than regular footwear.

“It's doing really really great, the response of our customers is overwhelming and we’re doing really well in Cebu .”

Nubla said that they are very happy that their customers believe in the product and they are optimistic that this would continue this year.

According to Nubla, with the success of Cebu , they are planning to expand and have more presence this year in the other provinces.

Also, Nubla said that they are reminding the public not to be deceived by counterfeit items as more of their products are being pirated and counterfeited.

However she said that this could easily be detected as the fake items are harder therefore does not give any health benefits and defeats the purpose of the sandals purposively made for this reason.

Fitflop’s edge according to Nubla aside from their unique product is that their customers do their marketing for them.

“This is through their testimonials and word of mouth which has highly contributed to the high sales of the Fitflop,” Nubla said.

She said that with the help of the social networking sites where they are present, they get to know what their customers feel about their product and more people are encouraged to buy the product due to the numerous positive feedbacks of the people.— AJ de la Torre
