Sony Ericsson launches new handsets in Cebu

-

CEBU, Philippines - In order to continually deliver to its consumers new and innovative products, Sony Ericsson recently launched in Cebu three new handsets which have reportedly reaped good reviews in earlier promotions.

Patrick Larraga, the marketing manager of Sony Ericsson said during the product launch that they are always eager with the Cebu market since the city has always contributed to the overall success of the company.

Larraga said that they have initially introduced their new products in Luzon and have had good feedback and they are hoping to gather the same from the Cebu market.

He explained that for this year alone, they have gotten good results for Cebu despite the economic downturn which has affected a lot of companies and industries.

According to Larraga, their pick up was not too high but they are still happy with how the company surpassed what was said to be one of the worst in the world’s economy.

Larraga shared that the new addition to their handsets offers more than just communication capabilities but also for entertainment purposes which is an application that most of the new consumers are looking for.

The Sony Satio is the first phone from Sony Ericson that gives ninth High Definition gaming and an HD TV with its 16:9 widescreen format on the phones’ 3.5 inch wide touchscreen. It is also equipped with a 12.1 megapixel camera and could give the users easy internet access and logging in to blogs and social networking sites.

The Sony Aino allows the user to control a Playstation 3 using remote play, which is a way for the player to access the controls through the HD Drive’s media content on PS3 using the built in Wi-fi or 3G connections. It also has an 8.1 megapixel camera and has Mac connectivity.

The Sony Kita is equipped with a “unique gaming experience of motion and gesture gaming.” The Kita is able to detect movements of a user while playing a game instead of being operated through game controls. It also has a Music call, which gives the user the chance to share their phone’s music while talking on the phone. — AJ dela Torre
