Cebu-based Mynimo.com wins in Digital Filipino Web Awards

CEBU, Philippines - With just less than three years in the industry, Cebu-based online job portal, Mynimo.com, continues to gain positive recognition and was recently awarded during the Digital Filipino Web Awards 2009 held in Makati City.

Mynimo president and chief executive officer Wesley Chiongbian said that they are very honored with the new recognition and that it is a proof of the good performance they have done in the past two years and more.

“We take this as an affirmation of our main goal, which is to provide our users with the best online job hunting experience,” Chiongbian said.

This is the second time that the company has won the award in the same category as they won the award last year. The Digital Filipino Web Awards advocates in the use of internet and e-Commerce for business development through the identification, promotion, and highlighting the best e-Commerce practices from various websites in the Philippines .”

It was tough competition as Chiongbian shared that other nominees were Filipino owned websites from all over the Philippines.

All the websites were judged on different criteria like search engine readiness, content/organization, structure and navigation, design and functionality and technical performance and interactivity.

Judges were selected members of the DigitialFilipino.com Club, a community of e-commerce enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and professionals.

“We dedicate this award to the job seekers and employers who have been supporting us from the very beginning” said Chiongbian who added that this gives them the confidence to continuously improve their service.

Other categories in the Digital Filipino Web Awards were on art, music, food, games, news, politics and tourism.

Chiongbian said that Mynimo.com registers over 60,000 page-views per day from jobseekers in Cebu and other nearby provinces. They have more than 100 companies advertising their job vacancies online daily for various positions and vacancies. — AJ de la Torre
