Bridges to open more unique shops

-

CEBU, Philippines - Purposely designed as a “lifestyle and dining destination,” the newly opened Bridges Town Square in Alang-Alang, Mandaue will soon unveil new additions to make the project a complete destination hub for both the domestic and tourist market.

Gladys Ceniza of Bridges Town Square said that there are still a lot of things planned to realize what the project is truly intended for, one of which is the anticipated opening of the Tourist Zone, where tenants are expected to showcase the different products of Cebu.

Ceniza said they have already mapped out the specifics for the various areas at Bridges Town Square, thus the need to meticulously pick out the tenants for the appropriate areas as stipulated in the plan.

She added that interested tenants are required to submit their business proposals before taking them in and also Bridges management maintains the right to make suggestions for upgrades in the stores of existing tenants.

Ceniza said this is only part and parcel of the entire plan of making the shops at Bridges totally unique, taking for instance the distinctiveness of the recently opened “Kumprahan Supermerkado,” which is a new concept of a supermarket found in Bridges.

She added that so far, the market response has been very overwhelming, with the bulk of interested business partners mostly comprised of Cebu-based companies.

Ceniza said that for the Tourist Zone, they planned to have northbound tourist buses to include a stop at Bridges as part of the itinerary.

“This is a different atmosphere from your typical mall,” said Ceniza explaining that phase-to-phase construction is already underway and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year.

She added that aside from the big companies, Bridges Town Square is also open for startup businesses as they deemed it a fitting venue for entrepreneurs to try their hand on business and showcase their new products.

Presently, Ceniza shared that they are working on the seafood restaurant called “Oyster Bay,” which would be a great feature for Bridges since it would offer fresh and live seafood highlighted by one of Cebu’s first, the salt water lagoon.

The “ Oyster Bay ” would be located in the lifestyle area of Bridges Town Square where most of the restaurants would be found as well as resto bars and other nightlife stops.— AJ de la Torre
