CEBU, Philippines - Amid the global financial crisis, operations for the leading cloud computing business management software suites in the Philippines and in other countries have been continually smooth as the US-based company “refocus on where they are successful.”

During a press conference held in Manila recently, Zach Nelson, CEO for Netsuite Inc., shared that they have gathered good feedback from customers worldwide as they continue to pursue development to cater to clients, especially those with multi-national operations which need greater demand for their undertaking.

In fact, Nelson reported through a presentation that they have had 270 new customers as of the second quarter of this year and a 40 percent year-over-year growth.

Nelson explained that as they promote the importance of cloud-computing which they offer, companies ranging from small to big corporations also see the beneficial use of the application as it would reduce their cost the improve their productivity.

Cloud-computing is an effective and practical means for companies needing services over the internet providing on-demand network access.

The application has evolved from previously used business applications that are reportedly more complicated and expensive needing a lot of supervision and procedure to operate.

Nelson said that they have a huge demand of customers at present who see cloud computing as a better way to run their businesses which costs less and more scalable and secure and this is being used by a lot of companies worldwide already.

He said that the push for the use of cloud computing is even strengthened as companies extend their efforts in controlling costs due to the crisis.

Nelson said that as they provide the service to multinational companies, they have a new version of the Netsuite OneWorld “that lets oracle E-business suite enterprise customers enjoy the cost saving and efficiency benefits of cloud-based business suites at the division level while retaining current investments in Oracle applications at the corporate level.”

One of Netsuites major clients is one of Asia’s largest food chain, Jollibee Food Corporation that has more than 1,800 stores in Asia and North America but with the help of Oracle Financial application, Netsuite has provided easier access for the company to see operation reports and other needed data from all over.

The company has also brought the first cloud computing Enterprise Resource Planning suite to Apple’s Iphone and Ipod touch giving possibility for users to real-time access to NetSuite calendar, task lists, customer and contacts lists, financial trends and so much more.
