Netsuite to expand RP operations
MAKATI, Philippines - Following the tremendous support given by the Philippine market and the positive response from the companies they have partnered with, Netsuite Inc., the leading vendor of cloud computing business management software suites announced its intention to expand their operations to further extend their services to more companies.
During a press conference in Mandarin Oriental hotel in Manila yesterday, Zach Nelson, the CEO of Netsuite Inc., revealed their expansion plans for the Philippines operations and the changes made in order to cater to the demands of the Philippine market.
Netsuite, being the largest and leading cloud computing applications provider in the Philippines and in other countries like United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong, started operations in the country in 2007 and has reportedly gathered great support and interest from their clients.
Nelson credited the positive feedback of their operations to the continuing drive of the country to boost the business sector that has invited a lot of establishments and companies to both foreign and local alike to venture in to operations in the country.
He said that the growing number of customers that they have would mean that they would need to enlarge their operations which they would be doing starting of with the expansion of their Manila office which at present is the largest after their main office in the United States .
According to Nelson, they would be having wider range of operations in the Manila office which is the hub for their global technical support, services and back-office operations, and would now be able to cater to the product development and to facilitate quality assurance.
He said that this would also mean more jobs offered since they would need another 300 employees added to the 300 that they already have. They have 900 employees worldwide with almost 7 thousand active customers as of 2008.
The cloud computing business software offered by Netsuite that assists companies in the management of their core business operations in one single system has been gained support for big establishments and companies in the country like Jollibee, ABS-CBN, Diamond Fleet Management System and MOTECH Automotive Education Center Inc.
Nelson explained that with ABS-CBN for example through their ABS-CBN Global limited, which is owned by the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, they will be adapting the Netsuite OneWorld Solution.
“This is the solution specifically made to allow companies with various subsidiaries or those with operations in other parts of the world to continue, monitor and run the whole business in real-time,” said Nelson.
Aside from these developments, Nelson also shared that they have localized and modified their product design in order to meet the needs of the market and the requirements of the government like the Bureau of Internal Revenue in terms of tax compliance and data export requirements.
The continuous growth of the company is made in order to reach more businesses and companies including in other provinces outside Metro Manila like in Cebu which Netsuite officials said have great potential due to the influx of businesses- the big and including the Small and Medium Enterprises alike.
James Dantow, the Vice President for Worldwide Support and General Manager for the Philippines said that they definitely see the growth of Cebu and the resiliency of the economy with the help of the emerging businesses.
Dantow said that Cebu is one of the places they would consider if given the chance to expand outside of Manila not only due to the booming business industry but with the help of the tourist destination that have been known worldwide.
Netsuite also offers Customer Relationship Management, Financial Management and Enterprise Resource Planning and means to Ecommerce and own websites, all in the aim of the company to “do business by delivering the market’s leading integrated, online business application for CRM, ERP and Web commerce” which have been benefited and positively received by their clients all over.— AJ de la Torre
