Deca Mactan 4 breaks ground

CEBU, Philippines - Seeing the need for more economical houses especially in time of the global financial crisis, the low cost-quality houses offered by Deca Homes will soon be open to the public in Lapu-Lapu City.

During the ground breaking ceremony, held over the weekend, in Bangkal road Brgy. Pajac Lapu-Lapu City, Alexander Ace Sotto, the Senior Construction manager of 8990 Housing Development Corporation, said that they see the trend of more people seeking the comforts and affordability of economy houses such as Deca homes thus their decision to open up the new project.

Sotto said that they have gained great support from the public which has been noted in the fast sales of their units in their other locations like in Mactan, Minglanilla, Mandaue and Danao.

He added that as early as now for the new project, they have already received early reservations and have entertained interested buyers and investors.

The new Deca homes, which will be the Mactan 4 project, will be offering 1,248 units stretched out in a 96, 017 square meter area which also includes other amenities like a basketball court and a multi-purpose area.

Sotto said that like their other locations, they meticulously check the location where they put in their projects and if it would be convenient for their customers in terms of transportation, communication and also the location if it would provide spacious areas for the residents.

According to Sotto, they are aiming to start construction by next month and is targeting to finish the whole project by next year.

Sotto said that they are very optimistic reason for them to invest more than a P100M for the Mactan 4 project which is good for the construction of all the units.

They already completed their projects in Mactan 1 with 679 units, in Mactan 2 with 167 units and 473 in Mactan 3.

Aside from this, they have 2500 units in Minglanilla, which was completed this year, 400 units in Mandaue, 300 in Danao and 381 in Tunghaan.

They have also reached the market in Davao where they have the Deca Homes Resort Residences located in a 150 hectare property. Deca Esperanza is also in a 20 hectare property in Davao and the Deca Pavia in Ilo-Ilo. Sotto also said that they are hoping to start of with their project soon in Tisa Labangon in Cebu City .

“We make a point to offer the best for their money,” said Sotto who explained that it is on the quality of the units they offer that gives them the edge against the others.

He said that they have pre-cast materials for the walls which has around 3,000 PSI of solid concrete compared to the usually used 800 to 1000 PSI.

Aside from this, Sotto said that they see to it that they offer quality services to their customers from the time they make the reservations wherein the company would be the one to make all necessary documentation after.

The units in Mactan 4 are priced at P820 thousand, which are 2-storey façade model units measuring 46 square meter area per house. It has three bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a kitchen area.
