Junrex offers retailer program for Cebuanos
CEBU, Philippines - In view of the impact of the global crisis on the average Filipinos, Junrex Cellphones and Accessories Inc. (Junrex) eyes to provide assistance and entrepreneurial opportunity to Cebuanos through the “Alalay sa Panginabuhi” program.
Alalay sa Panginabuhi is a retailer program which teaches interested parties on how to successfully venture into the loading business.
In an interview with Junrex Cellphones and Accessories Inc. (Junrex) CEO and president Jun T. Yap, he said that this corporate social responsibility program was tailor fitted to complement the need to provide additional income to consumers who are now facing more burden brought by the global economic crisis.
“This program is our way of helping the consumers earn extra or to save. This was also made to provide alternative livelihood to displaced workers from various industries which recently had massive lay-offs,” said Yap.
Yap said that although the program is a win-win situation for their recipients and their company, they are looking at it more of a corporate social responsibility than a profit-making activity.
“We want to share our success. Junrex started with a small capital. We were agents and we did not sit around to wait before we succeed and we want them to do the same,” he shared.
Yap said that with an initial investment of only P500 which already includes P400 worth of saleable cell phone load and a start-up kit, anyone can already start their own small-time loading business.
“The market is so huge for the loading business. Even Junrex could not really accommodate this huge demand especially outside the city. So anyone can grab this opportunity and then earn extra for their families which they can use for their daily living,” said Yap.
He discussed that on an average, most members in a family now a days own a mobile phone which needs an average of P500 or less load a month.
