Demand for "serviced" offices on the rise

-

CEBU, Philippines – After realizing a huge potential market for ready-to-use office spaces suited for companies that are in a hurry to start their operations in Cebu, Primary Properties, the operator of Asiatown IT Park’s I1, I2 and I3 buildings are capitalizing on its so-called serviced offices.

Serviced offices are instantly operational, fully furnished office spaces with options that include professional executive support team, access to meeting rooms and broadband connectivity that a certain company can rent for a minimum of one month contract.

Primary Properties Corporation (PPC) assistant general manager Ellen M. Jumonong said that demand for their serviced offices are now peaking up despite the impact of the current global financial crisis to most companies.

She said that in fact, their 11 serviced rooms in I2 are fully booked at the moment but after looking at the huge demand for such concept, they are looking forward to 24 additional rooms at the new I3 building this April.

Jumonong said that their serviced offices were conceptualized to provide companies especially start up ventures a venue where they can immediately start their transactions and operations as they are still looking for building their own office spaces.

She said that the rate for each serviced office differs upon the specifications of their client because it varies per work station.

“This is really ideal for those start up companies especially from abroad who wish to immediately start their operations because they won’t have to wait for their own office to finish construction,” said Jumonong.

She said that the concept behind these serviced offices is already very popular in Manila but here in Cebu, PPC was the first to offer such concept. —Rhia de Pablo
