Dutch tech transfer project invites more beneficiaries

The PUM Netherlands Senior Experts project is intensifying its support to industries and local government units (LGUs) in Cebu by inviting more beneficiaries of the project specifically on matters about environment and water.

Emma A. Ramas, local representative of PUM-Cebu said that companies and local government units (LGUs) are invited to take advantage of this technology transfer program of the Dutch government.

 “Please keep PUM in mind when you hear of companies requiring help for their water or environmental projects.  We would like to push this program in Cebu,” said Ramas.

This time PUM has partnered with the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM) to push this project especially in the Philippines.

Together, PUM and VROM will help Philippine-based or Cebu-based companies seeking help in solving major environmental issue and water problems.

Ramas said VROM not only sponsors small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), but also government bodies and institutes, universities and non-governmental organizations which are serious to implement environmental protection measures, and address water problem or waste water issues in their respective companies, or communities.

Ramas said VROM prefers to sponsor projects in the field of waste, water, waste water, energy, cleaner production and sustainable development. “Also projects based on the “cradle to cradle” principle are highly appreciated.” – Ehda M. Dagooc
