Avaya Intelligent Communications recently held a seminar on IP Telephony Solutions for the Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in
Avaya’s country director Edgar T. Doctolero acknowledged the importance of the SMB market in the further growth potential of their company.
“A lot of companies and even analysts realize the importance of SMBs so we want to play in this market because we believe we have strong products to address the challenges for today’s SME business,” said Doctolero.
But even if they have been internationally known as a high-end brand catering to the needs of high-valued companies with its expensive pricing, Doctolero pointed out that they are also equipped with product line-ups that aim to send a message to their client-base as well as their competitors that “Avaya” can also play in the SMB segment.
“We already have these products for a long time. As more companies move to IP telephony, the value now lies in the application. But we don’t want to be branded as providing only IP telephony, our move now is to provide value added services and products to the market as we have announced last 2005 our new strategy of moving towards becoming a software-centric company,” said Doctolero.
