Aussie skin care brand eyes link with RP spas

Cyntherea Inc., president Shelly B. Lazaro said that although Skin Doctors’ products are now available nationwide, the company also eyes to partner with upscale spa centers and wellness facilities to take advantage of the huge market potential.
“The trend now is all about skin care. Before, the sole target market for these products are the women, but now we have seen a growing number of men who are also adapting this regimen,” Lazaro said in an interview with The Freeman.
Skin Doctors’ here in the Philippines, through Cyntherea Inc., is looking for alternative distribution channels, and seriously plans to partner with upscale spa and wellness centers are the best choice, Lazaro said.
The brand’s category falls into the extremely high-end market, as single Skin Doctors’ skin care product would cost a couple of thousand pesos, comparable to that of world-known brands like Clarins, and others.
Initially, the brand penetrated well the discriminating upscale market, now with the awareness of every consumer to take care of their skin-- Skin Doctors was able to attract a growing number of solid users.
In the last two years, Skin Doctors’ products can only be bought in Rustan’s, and some Duty Free shops, Lazaro said soon other upscale spas and wellness facilities will be able to use the product for their respective skin care treatment packages, as well as sell items to spa goers.
The Philippine distributor for Skin Doctors’—Cyntherea Inc., is the first to enter into department store-based retail outlet in all distribution network worldwide for Skin Doctors.
Because of its delicate branding scheme, Lazaro said they have to carefully choose their partners in order to protect the brand’s name.
“I noticed that there are several high-end spa and wellness centers here. These outlets are also frequently visited by tourists who have known the brand very well,” she said.
Aside from
Skin Doctors’ products offer cosmetic alternatives to surgery. The entire range of its products is “results focused” and “problem specific”.
