Sun Life offers insurance in affordable sachet cards

Burdened with expensive policies associated with insurance protection, the average Filipino usually fails to avail of any insurance services; but seeing this predicament, Sun Life Financial- Philippines created innovative packages made affordable to cater to the mass sector through its sachetized insurance.

“We have always been dedicated to our mission of providing financial security to every Filipinos for 112 years. We believe in every Filipino’s right to have a secure future and so we introduce these innovative personal accidents packages. Availing of the “sachetized” prepaid cards will serve as the common man’s introduction to the principle of saving up for the future,” said the President and CEO of SLFP Henry Joseph Herrera.

Last Saturday at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino, SLFP introduced to the Cebu market its Protext Cards available in different affordable and flexible denominations priced at premiums of P20 and P200 as it’s lowest.

Lakbay ProTXT and Family ProTXT cards can be purchased alongside mobile phone electronic loads designed for an individual’s needs and capability ensuring the future loved ones without the burden of an expensive policy associated with insurance protection. These cards are are available in 4,000 merchants, internet cafes, gasoline stations, convenience stores, reloading stations, sari-sari stores, and many others.

Lakbay ProTXT is suited for travelers and regular commuters and has coverage valid for 15 days with one beneficiary of up to first degree of consanguinity and maximum coverage for one life could amount to as much as P 300, 000.

Whereas Family ProTXT offers long-term protection for one year, and is composed of two packages. The first of which insures the whole family while the other option covers the breadwinner and his/her dependent parents.

According to DOH statistics, accidental deaths are the top five causes of mortality in the Philippines. But of our 84 million population only about 12% have insurance policies. With the ProTXT cards, Sun Life aims to move and reach out to the broad C market composed of workers and white-collar professionals who needs insurance the most.
