RC Goldline’s 10th store targets the night market

RC Goldline, one of the leading dealers of brand new mobile phones and accessories in Cebu, opened last month its newest outlet at the new entertainment hub Paseo in Mabolo this city.

Unlike the other first 9 outlets scattered in key areas of Cebu, this newest store targets customers who can not make it on mall hours. The store opens from 2PM-12midnight, or later while there are still people at the Paseo.

RC Goldline chief executive officer Christian Paro-an, in an interview said they are as of the meantime contemplating on extending their store hours considering that during the weekends most night-outers stay at the area at way past their closing time.

This way, they can better serve individuals who may want to have their phone recharged (offered at RC Goldline at a very cheap price—P15/30 min.), reloaded (loads of all networks are available), repaired (while waiting for his/her phone repaired a customer can enjoy a free cup of coffee at Mr. Coffee) or any other cellphone-related services.

“This is the fist cellphone shop to open that caters to the night market,” said Paro-an, adding that the prices they have here are the same with their other branches.

This is actually the 10th RC Goldline branch, and incidentally the company is on its 10th year. Its very first store is that one in Colon street, while the rest are in SM City Cebu, Elizabeth Mall, F. Ramos St., Fooda Savers Mart, Rustan’s Supercenter, Gaisano Mactan, Gaisano Countrymall, and MC City Square.

Asked what has kept the company going despite the mushrooming of cellphone stores everywhere, Paro-an said it could be attributed to their “personalized services” that they regularly afford to their customers. He explained that RC Goldline does not just let its customers choose the product by themselves, but it also recommends to them which best suits their needs. Paro-an said that although this is business, the company is also committed to giving its customers the “value for their money.”

Apart from its wide array of brand new cellphones including the latest models there are in the market, RC Goldline also sells personal data assistants (PDAs), MP3s, iPods, speakers, digital cameras, among others. Paro-an said they will soon have laptops here too. — Liv G. Campo
