Student supports self with loading business

- Vanessa B. Delfino -
Telecommunications, especially the mobile phones, is no longer just a craze these days but rather a necessity as it is the easiest mean to communicate with family and friends, wherein proximity is not really a problem.

Along with the fast-rising need to communicate through a cellphone is the "loading business," which comes in handy for consumers and translates to an income generating venture for many.

Manny Gabisan, 22 year-old, from Tipolo Mandaue City said that he is enjoying his profit from his loading business, no matter how small the returns may be, while studying in the University of the Visayas taking up AB- Journalism.

He was encouraged to produce his own little loading scheme when his mother gave him P1,000. With that amount, Manny decided to buy a multi-network retailer card from a dealer of a load express.

Now earning around P240 a day, Manny can already spend for his daily expenses in transportation from his house to school, can easily make his paper works specifically projects at school and at the same time buy reference books for his studies.

"Kani nga negosyo dako kaayog natabang nako kay sa akong ginansya ko nagkuha sa sakong allowance kada-adlaw", Manny discloses. (This kind of business really helps me a lot because now I get my daily allowance from the profit I gained from my loading business.)

Manny is not threatened by competitors because with the stiff rivalry among the telecom players in our country, it only means that there's a lot of room for everybody to earn through this type of business.
