MyPhone unveils glam S Q27 Duo

With a sleek silver finish, three Swarovski cubic zirconia stones for the Menu and Call buttons plus a slick side-swiveling action to reveal a full QWERTY keypad, the S Q27 Duo exudes an eye-catching form factor.

MANILA, Philippines - Solid Group Inc., distributor of MyPhone, the country’s pioneering dual-active SIM mobile phone, launched last week in glittering rites a new “fashionista” handset targeted at the more style-conscious users.

Dubbed the S Q27 Duo, the new handset represents MyPhone’s efforts to deliver a stylish and upscale-looking yet affordable phone to the local market.

With its China-based research and development team, the MyPhone group collaborated with Swarovski with the objective of combining technology and jewelry by producing a high-fashion electronic accessory.

With a sleek silver finish, three Swarovski cubic zirconia stones for the Menu and Call buttons plus a slick side-swiveling action to reveal a full QWERTY keypad, the S Q27 Duo exudes an eye-catching form factor.

And because the S Q27 Duo targets the “glam” crowd, it even has a vanity mirror on the back for quick checks and touch-ups.

Features-wise, the S Q27 Duo is a tri-band, dual-active SIM mobile phone with Bluetooth, a two-megapixel camera, an FM radio, calendar, notes and alarm.

It also has an expandable memory card slot of up to 8GB and comes with high-quality earphones for a premium music-listening experience.

The S Q27 Duo has a retail price of just P5,990.

The S Q27 Duo was unveiled by models sashaying down the Fashion Walk of Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center in Makati. It blended right in with the shimmering creations by top designers Chris Diaz, Francis Libiran, Louis Claparols, Noel Crisostomo, Joey Samson, Joel Escober, and Randy Ortiz.

Another highlight of the evening was the introduction of MyPhone brand ambassador, Anne Curtis, who is currently showing off her S Q27 Duo in TV commercials.

First introduced to the local market in 2006 as the pioneer in dual-active SIM cellphones, MyPhone has developed into a definitive player in the Philippine mobile phone landscape, currently selling between 28,000 and 33,000 units per month.

The phenomenal response has driven MyPhone to continuously strive to develop better phones at highly affordable prices.

MyPhone is also the first mobile phone provider with customized applications and content tagged as “Pinoy Phone,” a software exclusively created for MyPhone with a wide array of apps, including recipes, prayers, and even jokes.

MyPhone also announced its tie-up with the Ninoy/Cory Aquino Foundation to lend support to its advocacy of nurturing little Corys through a scholarship program that will support the educational needs of chosen young Filipino women.

The CORY (Community of Responsible Youth) Scholarship Program reflects MyPhone’s belief in the ideals espoused by former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino and other women leaders, including Solid Group’s chairman emeritus Elena Lim.
