The Gold Awards were presented for the Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman phone, the K800i Cyber-shot phone and the K610i camera phone.
T3 magazine hosted its annual Gold Awards for the first time in the country to distinguish the years best gadgets.
Winners were determined from among 310 gadgets reviewed throughout the year. Only 49 awardees made it to the final list after gaining five-star rankings from the magazine.
"These gadgets are the best of the best featuring top-notch performance and superior value. With these award-winning products, consumers are sure to get their moneys worth and more," says T3 editor-in-chief Vince Sales.
The Sony Ericsson W810i was distinguished not only for its Walkman music player, but for its overall performance as a mobile phone.
As a group test winner among music phones of various brands, the W810i was said to combine "a great music interface with exemplary sound quality and non-musical extras."
The Sony Ericsson K800i was considered a "great, all-around gadget" and considered the best camera phone to be reviewed this year.
With a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus and Xenon flash, plus the new BestPic technology, the K800i was also deemed an "unusually stylish 3Ger" and packed with "a Shuffle-trouncing MP3 player."
The third Gold Award winner was the Sony Ericsson K610i, lauded for its 3G capabilities as well as for being one of the most stylish 3G phones around.
At only 17 mm thick and 92 grams, the K610i packs a wallop with a two-megapixel camera, expandable memory, Bluetooth connectivity, push e-mail, video calling, and video record and play. Best of all for many buyers, this 3G phone is affordably priced.
