Sony Ericsson introduced the T610, a 65K color screen mobile phone with built-in digital camera; the T310, a mobile phone offering great gameplay with its joystick, full-color display, 32 polyphonic sound system and vibrating force feedback; and the Bluetooth HBM-30 music hands-free accessory.
The triple-band Sony Ericsson T610 is a powerful imaging and messaging phone. It is the first product to use QuickShare, a driving corporate philosophy that promotes the easiest and fastest way to share images between the phone, a PC and other devices either locally over Bluetooth or cable or across mobile networks with MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) or e-mail. With the T610, taking a photo and sending an MMS has been reduced to a few clicks.
In addition, for the first time, a Phone Flash accessory will be available for the T610, enabling pictures to be taken in dimly lit environments and, at the same time, reducing the red-eye problem.
The T610 utilizes unique textured materials and a sophisticated finish in its design, making it visually powerful and stylish to look at. It will start shipping in the second quarter in Europe, Asia and North America.
The Sony Ericsson T310 comes preloaded with Activisions Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4, one of the best-selling video game console titles, through an agreement with Jamdat Mobile, a leading publisher of mobile game content.
The video game can be enjoyed as soon as the T310 is unpacked. Users can also download 50 other mobile phone games using the Synergenix Mophun platform.
This MMS-capable phone also offers personalized image formatting, making it possible to add frames and other designs to the images. The T310 begins shipping this week in selected markets worldwide.
The HBM-30 was designed for music enthusiasts who never want to miss a call. Doubling as a high-quality digital audio player and wireless hands-free device, it utilizes the Memory Stick Duo for music storage and can play MP3 and ATRC3 files.
When a call comes in, the music will be muted and the user can choose to take the call or not as the display will show the callers number. The HBM-30 can also be used to listen to music without being connected to the phone.
"Sony Ericsson has innovative accessories such as digital cameras and music hands-free devices that help consumers expand the usage possibilities of their mobile phones into entertainment and imaging. We have an unparalleled offering of accessories. As proof, Sony Ericsson last year sold more than 1.3 million digital cameras which are used together with our mobile phones," said Ulf Persson, head of Sony Ericssons Product Business Unit.
