All-new Honda HR-V receives 5-star rating

MANILA, Philippines - Honda Cars Philippines Inc. recently announced that its newly launched all-new HR-V 1.8 EL variant was given a five-star rating in the crash test conducted by the ASEAN NCAP (ASEAN New Car Assessment Program) last July 16 at the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS). The result further emphasizes Honda’s commitment to both safety to its customers and overall road safety.

In the frontal offset crash test, the all-new HR-V scored a total of 15.21 out of 16.00 points in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category and 73 percent compliance in the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category.

The all-new HR-V 1.8 EL is the latest addition to HCPI’s roster of vehicles  that received a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating.

The locally available all-new HR-V variants are equipped with topnotch standard safety features such as dual SRS airbags, Auto Break Hold (ABH), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Multi-view Reverse Camera (for EL and E variants), Driver Seat Belt reminder, ISOFIX, and Immobilizer. The All-New HR-V EL variant gets additional safety features such as side and side curtain airbags, passenger seatbelt reminder, and rear sensors.

Added to the safety features found in the all-new HR-V, the vehicle includes the latest technology such as Electric Parking Break (EPB), 7-inch Touchscreen Display Audio (for EL and E variants) with Bluetooth Hands Free Telephone (HFT) connectivity, and Eco Assist System. Moreover, the All-New HR-V offers versatility with the ULT (Utility, Long, and Tall mode) seat configurations.
