MANILA, Philippines -  Innovating the online search experience, Novare Technologies  a Philippine-based global provider of technology services to Internet, telecommunications, and banking companies  has completed a mobile application development project with major Chinese Internet firm Panguso.

For the collaboration, Novare Android software engineers were tapped to develop a native application aimed at business and professional mobile users that capitalized on Android’s key user interface features to deliver a unique Internet search experience.

This would then allow users to find relevant search matches through recommendations based on the user’s profile and historical activities.

“One of the reasons why Novare was chosen for this project was its successful deployment of another mobile application that was built for a large Asian mobile operator. Our execution of unique feature sets won for this Asian operator an Innovation of the Year award,” said Novare CEO and managing director Myla Villanueva.

“For Panguso, they wanted to draw from Novare’s experience and deliver to their Chinese users a new way to search for content and deliver that information on their mobile phones,” she added.

This engagement was a first for both companies — Panguso working with a Philippine-based technology firm and Novare with a major Chinese Internet player.

According to Villanueva, team dynamics played a major role in the project completion.

“To achieve this, both companies had an immersion on culture and formed teams who are resilient and had a dynamic work attitude. At the start of the project, Novare hosted Panguso executives in Manila. This allowed them to experience the work energy and development processes that Novare is known for,” she said.

Throughout the engagement, Novare had an engineering team in China, while the full development team was working in the Philippines. This close coordination allowed both teams to work seamlessly, sharing development best practices and technology.

To date, Novare has successfully delivered projects to a number of leading US and Israel-based technology companies, including Amdocs, Intel-Aepona, and KMS lighthouse.

Through its “Think, Build, Run” program, leading organizations are able to leverage their key assets and transform them into innovative products and services.

In 2012, Novare Technologies was awarded by Red Herring in its Top 100 Asia Awards, a prestigious list honoring the most promising private technology ventures.
