Globe expands market network in Visayas, opens 13 concept stones

MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom continues to expand its market network, opening 13 of its groundbreaking concept stores in key areas in the Visayas.

“High demand for various postpaid and prepaid offerings has prompted Globe to put up more Globe stores in the Visayas,” said Globe retail transformation and management head Joe Caliro.

“New Globe concept stores have opened in 13 key areas in the Visayas, including a third concept store in Cebu City located in SM City Cebu. Due to increase in demand from customers, it was imperative that we transform the Globe Store in SM City. That store holds the distinction of having the highest customer base or the most number of visitors from among the Globe stores nationwide,” Caliro said.

“In addition, we recently opened our first concept store in Eastern Visayas located in Robinson’s Place Tacloban. Tacloban’s economic growth has aided it in becoming one of the fastest growing cities in the Philippines, with an increasing demand for Globe products and services. This demand has prompted us to convert our store in the city,” Caliro added.

Globe also opened concept stores in the following areas in the Visayas — SM Bacolod and Robinsons Place in Bacolod City; SM City Iloilo and SM Delgado in Iloilo City; San Jose, Antique; Ayala Center and Elizabeth Mall in Cebu City; Gaisano Grand Price Club in Mactan, Cebu; Carcar City; Dumaguete City; and Tanjay City in Negros Oriental.

The full-service Globe concept store provides a unique experience for its customers as they can try and test live phones and gadgets easily arranged in product displays as well as quick service to those applying for landline, mobile or broadband solutions and after-sales support. The store also has on-site store specialists who can provide consultations and solutions to customers.

To give customers unparalleled service experience, Globe also embarked on a $700-million network modernization program to be among the best networks in Asia.

The modernization program will use the most modern technologies to significantly enhance voice connection and quality, improve call set-up rates, instantaneous delivery of SMS, and faster Internet speed.
