IBM expert at MAP gab

MANILA, Philippines - The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) has invited IBM’s Grace Chopard, partner for strategy and transformation of global business services of IBM Growth Markets, to be one of the key speakers at the 8th MAP International CEO Conference on Sept. 14 at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

Chopard’s presentation, “Capitalizing on Complexity, Leading Creatively,” will include an in-depth discussion of the results from the IBM Global CEO Study 2010, the fourth biennial CEO study.

IBM’s survey of more than 1,500 chief executive officers from 60 countries and 33 industries worldwide, suggests that chief executives believe that — more than rigor, management discipline, integrity or even vision — successfully navigating an increasing complex world will require creativity.

Key findings from the study will help participants understand the gaps and uncertainties that hamper an organization’s ability to deal with complexity and how to leverage on its strengths and resources to effectively engage markets and manage change.

The theme of this year’s MAP Conference is “Shaping the Next-Generation Organization: Thinking in the Future Tense.”
