Globe provides ICT muscle to Ironroad

MANILA, Philippines - Globe delivers the connectivity requirements and data services needs of Swedish-based software company Ironroad.

Ironroad, based in Stockholm, focuses on mobile video. It also has an office in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Ironroad developed VMS (Video Messaging Service), the third product completing the trilogy SMS, MMS and VMS.

VMS gives Ironroad’s customers an easy and cost-efficient means of distributing video for various applications. This may include employee information, advertising films, promos, and others requiring video content.

VMS offers a new revenue stream to mobile operators that would complement weak revenues from voice calls. Ironroad aims to drive widespread usage of VMS that users will start sharing VMS with each other.

As it expands its network of VMS partners abroad it envisions that users will be able to send VMS across countries without roaming fees.

Ironroad has established long-term partnerships with its customers that include operators and media companies in Europe and Asia such as Tele2, 3 Hutchinson, TeliaSonera and Indosat.

To support the operations and growth of Ironroad, Globe Business provides the firm with LAN-based Internet connectivity, managed firewall and co-location services through its Globe Data Center.

The Globe Data Center offers a world-class facility to manage the critical information and communications technology (ICT) resources and needs of enterprises that require the highest level of security, availability, reliability and redundancy.
