MANILA, Philippines - High-tech gadgetry, luxury cars, and fashion — all the finer things in life showcased the latest advancements in Technology in Motion at a champagne-and-cocktail event organized by PLDT-SME Nation and Lexus recently at the Lexus Showroom in Taguig City.
Guests marveled at the newest luxury sedans from Lexus and the latest in PLDT-SME Nation’s business solutions like the PLDT Watcher, a video monitoring solution; Negosyo Boost, a bundled voice-and-data connectivity solution; F.A.S.Track, a field asset management solution; and the BlackBerry Storm, the latest BlackBerry unit offering wireless e-mail connectivity.
The tie-up between the two companies shows how going high-tech and mobile can result in more profits for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through PLDT-SME’s product offerings.
“We aim to provide the technological necessities for SMEs for their businesses to grow,” says PLDT-SME Nation head Kat Luna-Abelarde. “Our connectivity services and product offerings allow entrepreneurs to grow their profits, save up and get their Lexus sedans.”
“We have aligned ourselves with PLDT-SME Nation because they share our commitment to creating and providing the best possible value for our beloved customers,” says Lexus Manila executive vice president Hiroyuki Tsuda.
Several PLDT-SME Nation products were displayed in booths located all over the showroom. Hardware such as Watcher units, HP Mini-Notes from the Negosyo Boost package, and a BlackBerry Storm phone were modeled off in a fashion show partnered with the latest creations from local fashion designer and entrepreneur Mich Dulce.
While guests were treated to champagne and cocktails, Pinoy Idol Gretchen Espina set the mood for the evening. Fashion designer, columnist, and the evening’s host Tessa Prieto-Valdez was also invited to sing and was awarded a PLDT WeRoam for gamely finishing a song number.
