Grisoft kicks off AVG tour in RP

Grisoft, creator of AVG security solutions, and its local reseller, RAYnetworks Inc., recently kicked off the AVG Philippine Tour at the Cavite Export Processing Zone.

The highlight of the tour was a presentation to network and system administrators of the various companies at CEPZA, followed by a visit to client companies led by Grisoft business development manager Petr Bílek, Grisoft ASEAN sales manager Julian Vincent, RAYnetworks technical director Sheridan Laroza, managing director Juner Yaneza and general manager for Calabarzon Caroline Lozano.

Grisoft launched its latest AVG Internet Security 7.5 version for home and office, and small and medium enterprises.

The latest version includes Anti-Malware, Internet Security, Anti-Malware Network Edition, Internet Security Network Edition, Anti-Virus for Linux/FreeBSD, File Server for Linux/FreeBSD, Email Server for Linux/FreeBSD, and Rescue CD.

AVG Internet Security is a complete solution for file servers, desktops, notebooks and laptops. It provides total network protection with anti-virus that protects from viruses, worms and Trojans.

Malware hidden in data streams, archives or the Windows registry is also detected. E-mail spam and phishing filtering is done by checking every e-mail received, using the latest technology and up-to-the-minute spam signatures.

The AVG Internet Security SBS Edition is a centrally controlled desktop and server (file, e-mail and MS SharePoint server) protection designed to protect the MS SBS file server plus the e-mail server plug-in, as well as protecting a certain number of workstations and the same number of mailboxes.

The powerful AVG Resident Shield provides full on-access protection by scanning every file opened, executed or saved. It also prevents the opening or executing of infected files. It performs flexible intelligent scanning that include/exclude files from being scanned based on individual file extensions and can handle exceptions for potentially unwanted programs such as adware.
