Linksys Wireless-N quadruples range

The promise of wireless connectivity is freedom – the ability to indulge in technology away from the anchor that is your desk and into your life.

With most wireless routers, however, your life stop at around 300 feet, and you forget about heading outside. Between the interference generated by other local wireless devices and physical obstacles like furniture and walls, chances are your wireless network signal is little more than a whisper by the time it hits your backyard.

The introduction of Linksys’ Wireless-N changes all that. Linksys Wireless-N offers up to four times the range for full home or office coverage while reducing dead spots and jacks up wireless Internet speed up to 12 times.

This latest in Linksys technology allows homes to share high-speed Internet connectivity, networked multimedia entertainment, file sharing, VoIP, audio and video applications, and other bandwidth-intensive network and multimedia applications.

Cisco Systems Inc., Linksys’ parent company, recently partnered with Microwarehouse Inc., the country’s leading distributor of mobile and lifestyle devices, to give users "the freedom to do it all."

Microwarehouse president Dennis Aranas says, "The partnership allows Microwarehouse to be at the forefront of emerging technologies, giving us the potential to cover the entire spectrum of networking."

By empowering nationwide dealer channels with value-added distribution, Microwarehouse enables them to introduce emerging technologies in the market.

Networking products such as VoIP, instant messaging, Wi-Fi wireless networking and other consumer devices are available for small to medium enterprises and large businesses.
