3 Wi-Fi devices from Asus

There comes a time when the market is flooded with so many gadgets that seem to upgrade themselves by the minute that we’re left with no other choice but to rely on what our favorite party geeks say.

In the likelihood of this occurring, the only other option is to rely on the brand name. Now this is where Asus comes in.

Asus, the perennial leader of the motherboard and graphics card industries and a top 10 global player for notebook PCs, optical drives, broadband modems and a wide range of other products, has introduced three peripheral hardware to suit wireless dreams.

The three highly functional Wi-Fi devices come with good accessories, extensive setup options and advanced modern wireless protocols with their speed-boosting extensions.

First on the list is the Asus WL-138G PCI card, which provides an option for desktop PC users to optimize wireless LAN connectivity.

The Asus WL-138G, IEEE802.11g/b PCI card is ready to run in any PCI-equipped desktop PC. With the WL-138G Wireless LA PCI card, users can easily upgrade their desktop PCs to become WLAN client stations, keeping them on the network without restriction.

Next, the Asus touts its WL-500G wireless router as the smartest WLAN router in the world. The router’s deluxe version, WL-500g Deluxe, boasts a USB port replacing the parallel port, and USB version 2.0. Thus, the integrated print-server does not support LPT printers anymore.

Finally, the WL-500g comes with a black-and-white Web camera.

Last on the list is the Asus WL-530G pocket router, which is equipped with four 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports to sync up with a PC and hub to extend the network.

With its one-of-a-kind compact design, the Asus WL-530G wireless router recently received Japan’s G-Mark, a validation of its high-quality industrial design.
