The forums focused on the many features of Oracle portal technology such a single-user sign-in, customizable view, on-the-spot updating of portal site content, and real-time consolidation of content from other information providers, among other things.

"These organizations can benefit greatly from the uses portals provide such as real-time exchange of information, flexible view, and defined level of approval authority to make their businesses more complete and integrated," Palo added.
The forums included an overview of the features of Oracle technology products and Oracle Portal, as well as a live demonstration of practical applications using Oracle Portal.
IT experts from the retail, manufacturing and financial services industries attended the first two forums last February. Another forum was held last month for IT representatives from different government agencies.
