University of Wales MBA grants available

The demand for unconstrained access to learning regardless of time and place paved the way for the Philippines’ first fully online University of Wales Masters in Business Administration (UOW MBA) Program.

PurpleTrain.com, a subsidiary of Informatics Phils. and Asia’s first and largest online learning provider, is making this possible by offering 50 MBA scholarship grants worth over P7 million to qualified applicants.

This program maximizes e-learning as a tool to make continuous education more convenient and accessible to all. Now taking a "foreign" MBA degree can be completed without having to quit one’s work or leave the country.

According to Ricky Ruiz, business manager of PurpleTrain.com, "This program was ideally designed for mid-level managers to multinational company CEOs, who are always on the go and at the same time, would wish to upgrade their level of competency and marketability by pursuing further studies."

"Online learning is very flexible since one can complete the program in as short as 15 months or a maximum of five years," he added.

The online learning experience is greatly enhanced by discussion rooms, e-mails, real-time online chats, textbooks and designated facilities to aid learning. Support is provided by limitless contact hours with 24-hour online facilities with real interactive support.

For a cost that is substantially less than most local-based MBAs, one will be exposed to the experiences of fellow course mates who are from different socio-economic, cultural, political, technological and geographical backgrounds, giving one’s MBA a uniquely international perspective.

"The flexible and modular structure of the program lets you enjoy a self-paced education environment leading to more effective learning. In addition, online learning saves you costs such as transportation, board and lodging and miscellaneous expenses while permitting time for achieving personal and professional goals as well," said Ruiz.

At the end of the program, students are invited to march in graduation ceremonies to be held in Wales. For students who could not attend their graduation, their University of Wales diploma will be couriered to them.

The University of Wales, established in 1883, is a major national institution. It has a tradition for excellence in education and its qualifications are well sought after in the United Kingdom and internationally.

The university’s mission is to continually make a distinctive and distinguished contribution to higher education in Wales, the United Kingdom and the international community.
