One strong partnership which Pacific Internet recently forged was with global telecommunications firm Alcatel.
Their partnership banked heavily on Pacific Internets market leadership and Alcatels unique networking products, which comprise a full-featured line of Local Area Network switches and Virtual Private Network hardware and software.
Product features include Virtual LANs, Quality of Service, Voice over IP, integrated firewall, centrally managed network services for data and voice, and any-to-any switching services.
Alcatels products will enable Pacific Internet to provide its vast client base with a comprehensive array of network services.
"The market has always been out there. It was a natural evolution for us to provide solutions that would make Pacific Internet a true one-stop shop network services provider," said Susan Estrada, senior assistant vice president for corporate business.
Estrada initiated the partnership, having recognized the need of corporate customers for a single system integrator that could provide not only reliable Internet connections and services but also network integration solutions.
"This means a total network package from Internet connections all the way to contractual project management services," Estrada said.
Estrada is credited with transforming Pacific Internets corporate sales group from a connectivity-centric organization into a fully integrated cohesive team of sales and marketing professionals who all work together to achieve the single objective: provide any and all networking requirements so the customer need not go elsewhere.
