Intra-arterial intervention

MANILA, Philippines - Arterial Infusion Chemotherapy: A treatment wherein the medicine is injected into the tumor tissues directly through the artery, which supplies the nutrition for the tumor.

Embolization therapy: Infuses solid or fluids into the artery to embolize it and block the blood supply of the tumor tissues.

PARTICLE: Is done by implanting pellets containing radioactive elements into the tumor, which in turn, will deliver high doses of radiation to the cancer cell.

Radiofrequency ablation: A treatment wherein electrodes destroy the tumor tissue through the radiofrequency needle.

Cryoablation: Makes use of extreme cold to freeze the tumor and kill it.

Immunotherapy: Helps enhance the body’s natural defense function to kill to prevent the tumor from growing.

Gene therapy: For this type of therapy, the P53 gene acts as the tumor suppressor, the medicine is then injected directly to the tumor for a faster reaction. This treatment is only available in China, bringing in a lot of foreign patients.

Nanotechnology: Best used on those diagnosed with early stages of cancer.
