Walter maker assures buyers

As melamine contamination of milk products continues to scare the public, the Philippine Baking Industry Group (PhilBaking) assured consumers that the bread products of its member-companies are safe for consumption.

They said they have not been using flour and milk from China, many of which were found contaminated by the toxic substance melamine that killed four children and sickened tens of thousands of babies in China.

Creative Bakers Co. Inc., one of the member-companies of PhilBaking, assured the public that it will never sacrifice health above anything else.

Walter Co, president and CEO of Creative Bakers Co., Inc., maker of Walter Health Nutrition breads, emphasized that they do not use milk, milk-based products, derivatives, flour and other ingredients from China.

“We only use the choicest ingredients from the world’s best countries — US, France, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Israel and the Netherlands,” Co said.

In fact, he added that many of their ingredients are halal and kosher-certified, making them suitable for Muslims and Jews.

True to its commitment of “Helping people live healthier through better food choices,” Co said Walter Bread works with nutrition experts and uses only the best ingredients to give customers the nutritional value and great taste they deserve.
