Latest water heating tech launched at Marco Polo Davao

The latest technology for heating water, using hot air from the environment – the principle of reverse refrigeration – was recently launched at the Marco Polo Davao, the premier hotel in Davao City.

The launching of the JETT-PECOL heat pump water heating system was attended by a group of hotel owners, managers and chief engineers in Mindanao.

It showcased how the system was able to generate significant savings for Marco Polo Davao in fuel consumption for water heating.

The hotel’s technical manager, engineer Arnulfo Cellona, emphasized during the product launch that with the continued increase of fuel rate, the installation of the JETT-PECOL heat pump system was, indeed, very timely.

It is in line with the hotel’s program of "minimizing operating expenses without compromising the quality of service."

Cellona encouraged hotel owners and engineers to seriously consider the benefits provided by the new water heating technology.

Stanley Lau, general manager of the Marco Polo Davao, and Jocelyn Lucas, the hotel’s purchasing manager, were on hand during the launch.

Jett Water Heater Co. Inc. president and CEO Ruperto Magno led key company officers at the launch.

Richard Cheang, general manager of PECOL Malaysia, JETT’s foreign principal in the heat pump technology, flew in from Kuala Lumpur to attend the event.

Sonia Garcia, regional director of the Department of Tourism; Jose Cabase, national president of the National Association of Master Plumbers, and engineer Rolly Balmes, president of the Hotel Engineers Association, also joined the gathering.

JETT Water Heater Co. Inc., a pioneer in the Philippine water heating industry, supplied and installed the Marco Polo Davao’s JETT-PECOL heat pump system.
