Men’s Vitality Place goes to Robinson’s Place

The Men’s Vitality Place, the mobile clinic sponsored by Bayer Healthcare Phils., recently visited Robinson’s Place Manila.

Male mall-goers were treated to free medical check-up and lecture to help detect if they are suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED).

Dr. Mario Garcia, a cardiologist from the University of Sto. Tomas Hospital, gave a talk on the tell-tale signs of ED and ways to prevent and manage the disease.

He stressed that the best way to prevent the disease is to have a healthy lifestyle.

In case they suspect that they are already suffering from the disease, Garcia encouraged men to consult their doctors.

Existing research demonstrates that difficulties in communication can prevent a man from finding a treatment that improves his erectile function.

"It’s very important that men seek consultation when they suspect that they are suffering from ED," said Garcia.

"ED can be a manifestation of other serious problems like cardiovascular problems," he added.

The Men’s Vitality Place is a mobile wellness clinic which aims to promote men’s health wellness.

It was launched as part of Bayer’s "Strike Up A Conversation" campaign, which aims to help every couple affected by erectile dysfunction to communicate openly about their sexual concerns in order to find a treatment that improves a man’s erectile function and a couple’s quality of life.

The program also identifies key barriers to communication and provides ED sufferers, partners and doctors with knowledge, skills and tools to overcome them.
