Mayer Steel receives ISO 9001:2008 certification

MANILA, Philippines - Mayer Steel Pipe Corp. recently acquired company-wide ISO 9001:2008 certification in its continuing effort to uplift the standards of the local pipe-making industry.

The ISO certification provides a tried and tested framework by adopting a systematic approach to managing organizational processes toward meeting customer satisfaction and expectations.  This ISO certification is awarded to companies that demonstrate a high quality management system as a means of ensuring products to conform with specified requirements.

With the certification, Mayer Steel Pipe Corp. operates and implements an effective and efficient Quality Management System in line with international standards as embodied by ISO 9001:2008 certificate No. CIP/4530/11/11/783, issued on Dec.13, 2011 with validity until Dec.12, 2014.

Because of the systems installed, Mayer Steel Pipe Corp. is now more focused on producing quality steel pipes in accordance with international market standards.

“With the ISO accreditation, Mayer maintains a certain level of product quality that we can proudly offer the market.  By following these standards, we keep our track record of exceeding customer satisfaction and continually grow as one of the leaders in the steel pipe manufacturing industry,” says Noel Sy, vice president for Internal Affairs. “Having the ISO certification also means that Mayer is capable of competing not just locally but globally, too.”
