MANILA, Philippines - Festivities continue as Landco Pacific Corporation celebrates its 20 years of leisure living through the second leg of the corporation’s Leisure as a Lifestyle event series, recently held at Hacienda Escudero.
For two decades, Landco has made true their brand promise, “Life at your Leisure” by consistently pioneering innovative leisure developments, such as Peninsula de Punta Fuego, Terrazas de Punta Fuego, Hacienda Escudero, Leisure Farms, Ponderosa Leisure Farms and the Playa Series (Playa Calatagan, Playa Laiya and Playa Azalea) to name a few.
Hacienda Escudero is marketed for those who want to experience life in a farm or lakeside community. “The farm community wishes to impart the experience of having one’s own farm where planting seeds, watering of plants and trees, and harvesting fruits and crops, while enjoying the natural landscape of Hacienda Escudero’s coconut plantation and nearby mountains. A relaxed, tranquil, and nature oriented lifestyle in the midst of modern conveniences”, adds Vincent Jacinto, Landco Project Head for Hacienda Escudero. As a lakeside community, Hacienda Escudero offers a unique opportunity to live somewhere where families can enjoy fishing for tilapia or carp, have a leisurely kayak ride, or simple have a picnic by the lake. According to Jose Antonio Xerez-Burgos, Landco VP and SBU Head for Leisure Communities, “This type of living encourages Hacienda Escudero residents to commune with nature as well as have the chance to experience the feel and ambiance of the Commonwealth era from which the property was designed.”
This Commonwealth era look of Hacienda Escudero was communicated beautifully in the event through the event styling of Mr. Monchit Uichanco. “Hacienda Escudero’s theme is Commonwealth, so we researched on flowers usually used during that era—orchids, dark roses and other white flowers,” Monchit describes.
The event’s highlight, however, was a talk by Inquirer Lifestyle Wellness Contributor and Cocoon Magazine Wellness Editor, Lia Bernardo, wherein she shared some valuable tips on how to maintain one’s wellbeing, or being at peace with yourself and your surroundings. Indeed, wellness as a lifestyle can be achieved, however, it requires commitment. Lia shares, “You should have the conscious effort to eat right, sleep well, exercise, monitor your stress and set aside some time for devotion, prayer or meditation.”
A special YogaKids workshop was also held wherein certified YogaKids instructor, Michelle Aventajado, taught kids the benefits of yoga through reciting positive affirmations (mantras) crafting, singing, dancing and of course holding asanas (yoga poses). “Kids who practice yoga develop a positive sense of self as well as learn early on that wellness is a life choice. They not only understand that they should eat healthy and sleep early but they also can live a life that’s healthy physically, mentally and emotionally,” adds Michelle. The YogaKids program proves beneficial as it gives kids the tools to live a life of wellness, making it easier for them to make healthy choices—saying no to drugs, saying yes to eating healthy, etc—as they grow.
Other activities such as fun art projects for kids, where they painted and designed paper candle lanterns, were held and guests also enjoyed spa and aromatherapy treatments—foot reflexology, hand rubs, shoulder and head massages from Spaholics.
The Leisure as a Lifestyle event series is also being held at Landco’s other premier communities: WoodGrove Park, Tribeca Private Residences, and The Peak at Terrazas de Punta Fuego. For inquiries about Hacienda Escudero please call 0922-872-0614.
