It's all about synergy in South Forbes

MANILA, Philippines - One man demonstrated that a single stick can be broken easily but, when bound together with other sticks, it was virtually impossible to break them. Suspension bridges owe its design, strength and stability to high tensile cables called wire rope which consists of several strands of metal wire twisted into a helix -- the wires easily take up the distributed load. Lesson learned: “The whole is better than the sum of its parts.”

Such examples of “teamwork” are the backbone of South Forbes Golf City, the country’s largest fully-integrated and all-themed golf resort city at the forefront of the Metro Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay corridor, through its 5 Clusters of Excellence. In recognition of this unique feature, South Forbes has been honored the Best Golf Community Development by the 2007 CNBC International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious property awards programme, and, recently, the Highly Commended Award for Best Development by the 2010 Bloomberg Asia-Pacific Residential Awards.

“South Forbes assures each and every one our residents a place to live, work, study, shop, and play, all within the walls of the city” said Cathay Land president Jeffrey Ng. “Our 5 Clusters of Excellence all work in synergy, each with its own role, yet one in providing our residents a sustainable way of living.”

Hi-tech Hub. South Forbes recently announced its plans to develop an Information Technology park within its Business Cluster, called the Cyberpark, expected to primarily attract Information Technology locators that are engaged in, but not limited to, software development and application, IT-enabled services, content development for multi-media or internet purposes, knowledge-based and computer-enabled support services, business process out-sourcing, and IT research and development.

“The creation of the South Forbes Cyberpark aims to accelerate a sound and balanced social, economic and industrial development within the Municipality of Silang, Cavite and its neighboring municipalities and localities as well as uphold the potential profitability of the region,” Mr. Ng said.

Cool College. Last year, South Forbes, together with Global City Innovative College, officially started phase one of their 10-year plan to develop South Forbes City Colleges (SFCC).

“The continuous growth of the industries in the region, including the locators in our very own Cyberpark, will rely on the presence of more institutions of higher learning to provide the resources of a knowledge-based economy,” added Mr. Ng.

SFCC will have modern facilities and equipped with fiber optic connectivity to insure that the future potential applicants and enrollees will be educated and trained on an international standard.
