Evercrest upgrades Batangas golf course

MANILA, Philippines - There are more than 18 reasons to head out to Evercrest Golf Club Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas. The popular golf destination has recently unveiled its renovated and upgraded 18-hole championship course, especially designed for golf enthusiasts seeking a new, exciting and innovative golfing experience.

According to Lisa Pega, Evercrest golf supervisor, the fairways have been newly sand-capped using a professionally preferred quality of 4mm sand at least 4 inches high.

“We consumed a total of about 35,000 cubic meters for the entire golf course. Our bunkers were replaced with high-grade white coral sand, while high-breed seashore paspalum grasses were also planted in all the fairways. All greens were replaced with tifdwarf grass which is most preferred by top golfers both local and international. Lastly, we have upgraded our irrigation system to be environmentally efficient and friendly,” said Ms. Pega.

The new changes were implemented under Evercrest’s commitment to make the 18-hole, internationally renowned golf facility designed by golfing legend Arnold Palmer, more modern and exciting. Aside from the upgrades in the terrain and facilities, the landscape has also been treated with a high quality surface for a more innovative play. New flora and fauna have been added to enhance the natural environment of the golf course to make a trip around the 18 holes more relaxing and rejuvenating.

“The upgrades will give back prestige to our esteemed members and of course our potential new members. We hope to become a premier golfing venue for local and international golf tournaments and hence emerge as one of the major pillars of promoting golf and tourism in the Philippines,” she added.
