MANILA, Philippines - Whether it’s taking up a sport (like basketball or swimming) or learning a new skill (like singing or acting), more and more kids are spending their summers doing something worthwhile. Instead of filling their days playing video games indoors, many kids are becoming more involved in activities that compliment the education they’re getting from school.
The Children’s International Summer Village, for instance, has been offering a range of local activities, international camps, family-hosted exchanges and community-based projects for young people and adults from over 60 countries since 1951. Over the years, these “Programmes” have provided opportunities for thousands of participants to meet and develop friendships with people from different countries, backgrounds and cultures.
When the Manila chapter of the CISV decided to hold a five-day mini-camp for 10 to 16-year-olds, they looked for a place that had enough space, was conveniently located close to Metro Manila and had the appropriate amenities to accommodate all of the participants. After all, a crucial aspect of any summer activity is the venue as it could often spell the difference between failure and success.
After looking around various locations, they found the ideal venue in Buena Vista Resort Club at Taal View Heights. Situated in the hills of Talisay, Batangas, Buena Vista Resort Club at Taal View Heights offers guests the perfect vantage point to take in and enjoy the timeless spectacle that is the Taal Volcano.
