Unlike the traditional use of the gondola, the Skywalker System utilizes the controlled rope descent system in cleaning windows.
A Skywalker is securely strapped to a seat and then utilizing his controlled rope descent system, rappels down a building as he cleans each window, panel by panel.
The simplicity of the system greatly reduces rigging time. As compared to the use of the gondola, the job can be completed in 70 percent less time resulting to 25 percent lower contract cost.
Each Skywalker is trained and certified on the Skywalker System. They are physically fit, responsible and above all, safety conscious. They understand and respect the rules for safety climbing and rappelling.
The Skywalker System has been manufactured and is adapted for window cleaning. The various descent components are compatible and have a minimum tensile strength of 5,000 pounds.
