LGU social housing confab set

The CREBA Social Housing Foundation Inc. (CSHFI), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), and local government units will hold a conference on the theme "Promoting Socialized Housing for Local Government Units" at the Westin Philippine Plaza Hotel on July 29-30.

President Arroyo has been invited to be the keynote speaker at the opening ceremonies. The CSHFI, the social arm of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Associations (CREBA), is pushing the socialized housing program in tandem with government housing agencies.

The conference objective is to provide vital and current information and guidelines on how local governments all over the country can undertake the production of socialized housing units in their localities for their constituents.
