MANILA, Philippines – Isuzu Philippine Corporation (IPC) recently delivered a fleet of light to medium-duty trucks to Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (METRO) in support to strengthen the growing consumer demands of METRO stores nationwide.
On November 16, IPC presented 12 units of the Isuzu NKR71 with aluminium body, 12 units of NKR71 with refrigerated van body and 13 units of FVM34 with aluminium wing van body, which will be utilized to deliver goods to the increasing number of METRO stores across the country.
Present during the turn over ceremony held at METRO’s new logistics facility in Silangan, Laguna, were IPC president Hajime Koso, METRO Chairman and CEO, Frank Gaisano, METRO president & COO Arthur Manuel and METRO Vice President of Supply Chain Ricky Aguas.
“We are proud to be chosen as the lead truck supplier for METRO Group,” said Koso. “We are confident that the trucks we delivered will be able to meet the increasing demand for their business. As for Isuzu, our after sales service network is always at hand to support and assists METRO’s supply chain group,” he adds.
METRO, one of the country’s leading retail store group with branches all over the country has a long history in the country especially in Cebu City. The company opened its first store in 1982 and has become a market leader in the Visayas.
