HARI announces Hyundai Santa Fe ‘Brilliant Film’ contest winners

MANILA, Philippines - Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) held the final judging of eight entries to the Live Brilliant Test Drive Santa Fe Edition: Video Montage contest. The awarding, held at K-Pub in The Fort Strip, brilliantly capped HARI’s recently concluded media test drive of the All-New Santa Fe in Siargao Island.

The 60-second video entries, themed “Live Brilliant,” vied to best capture the superior driving dynamics of the third-generation Santa Fe and the global appeal of Siargao Island, one of the world’s premier surfing destinations.

“Live Brilliant” is Hyundai Motor Company’s current global marketing campaign.

All eight entries were uploaded to the Hyundai Philippines Official Facebook Page, engaging fans in online voting from July 4-July 12, 2013.

Comprising the Panel of Judges on July 29 were HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, HARI Senior Vice President for Corporate Planning and Communications Renato Pizarro, and Emmy Award winning Fil-Am producer of “The Tyra Banks Show” and “America’s Next Top Model” and currently TV Head of the One MEGA Group’s TV 100, Michael Carandang.

The judges based their final decision on the following criteria: relevance to the “Live Brilliant” theme; originality; composition and arrangement; technical attributes; and artistic merit.

Winners of the film competition were: First Prize: Team Ronald delos Reyes and Rona delos Reyes of Auto Review, and Tet Andolong and Popo Andolong of Business Mirror, winning P60,000; Second Prize: Team Ardie Lopez and Nics Calanoc of C! Magazine, Eric Tipan of Jam 88.3, and Ira Panganiban of Power Wheels Magazine, winning P40,000;  Third Prize: Team Ray Butch Gamboa and Mackie Mackiraya of Sunshine Television, Eggay Quesada of Remate, and Iñigo Roces of Manila Bulletin, winning P20,000.00; and Thumbs Up Award: Team Matt Montoya and Love Love Tioseco of Stoplight TV, Brent Co of autoindustriya.com, and Cito Beltran of The Philippine Star, winning P40,000. The “Thumbs Up Award” was the film that garnered the most number of “Like” on the Hyundai Philippine Official Facebook Page.

Agudo warmly thanked the group for supporting the Hyundai brand, stating, “I already consider all eight entries as winners, as each one excellently showcased the awesome power of the Hyundai Santa Fe against the raw beauty of Siargao. Tonight makes for another brilliant moment with you and Hyundai.”
